
OUR STORY
Alay Buhay Community Development Foundation, Inc. (Alay Buhay) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities by unlocking their full potential. Since its inception in 1986 as an educational foundation, Alay Buhay has evolved into a comprehensive community development platform.
OUR JOURNEY:

1986: Started as Alay Buhay Educational Foundation, providing educational assistance and school adoption programs.
​
1999: Launched a microfinance program for families of scholarship recipients in Quezon City.
​
2006: Transformed into a Community Development Foundation, expanding operations to Quezon City, Manila, Caloocan, Marikina, and Rizal Province. Implemented education, microfinance, skills development, medical/dental missions, and disaster relief initiatives.
​
2012: Tasked by the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to implement a Community Tuberculosis (TB) Care project through advocacy, communication, and social marketing in Bataan, Bulacan, and Nueva Ecija.
​
2021-2023: Appointed as a service contractor for the ACCESS TB Project's Active TB-Case Finding Component under the Global Fund for Tuberculosis in the Philippines Grant.
​
2022: Received a Small Grant Award for World Pneumonia Day to raise awareness about community-acquired pneumonia and advocate for capacity building in pneumonia education.
​
2023: Implemented a USAID-funded project to improve community-based TB case finding, contact investigation, and case holding in the informal work sector.
​
2024: Designated to implement the ACCESS TB Project's Active TB-Case Finding in Regions 3, 10, 11, and 13.
Alay Buhay's comprehensive approach to community development, spanning education, health, livelihood, and disaster response, has empowered countless marginalized individuals and families, enabling them to realize their full potential.
