Cuyapo Celebrates World TB Day & Rabies Awareness: Join the Fight!

The Municipality of Cuyapo successfully held a joint awareness campaign for World TB Day and Rabies Awareness Day on March 21st, 2024, at Umali Gym in District 1. The event was honored by the presence of Mayor Florida Paguio Esteban, representatives from Alay Buhay, and RHU staff.

Focusing on education and prevention, the program featured informative discussions on both Tuberculosis (TB) and Rabies, followed by an open forum to address Cuyapeños' questions and concerns. This collaborative effort aimed to raise awareness about these critical public health issues within the community.

Free Screenings and Vaccinations Provided

To incentivize participation and promote preventative measures, the event offered free chest X-rays for TB screening and free pneumonia vaccinations. These services play a vital role in early detection and protection against preventable diseases.


The Cuyapo community's successful World TB Day and Rabies Awareness Day celebration highlights the importance of public health initiatives. By working together, communities can stay informed and take proactive steps toward a healthier future.
