The Philippines has the highest TB incidence in Asia. The TB Active Case Finding (ACF) initiative of the Alay Buhay Foundation, being implemented in partnership with corporate social responsibility groups and the government, seeks to increase TB case detection so that confirmed TB cases are ushered into treatment. Alay Buhay brings mobile X-ray vans to localities so that people who are most vulnerable to TB can undergo chest X-rays, which is the initial step in determining TB infection. Alay Buhay works with the local government units in organizing these TB mass screening activities, usually back-to-back with COVID-19 vaccination.
